Dear colleagues,

As was announced earlier this morning by Dr. Shivaani Kummar, interim chief executive, Knight Cancer Institute, I have accepted the appointment of interim director of the Knight Cancer Institute. I am tremendously honored and humbled to embrace this new role. I look forward to partnering with Dr. Kummar, other leaders, faculty, staff and trainees to further advance the Knight Cancer Institute’s mission to translate our research across the cancer continuum to improve health outcomes for Oregonians and beyond.

I am excited to work with each of you involved in the Knight Cancer Institute and other institutional partners, and look forward to hearing ideas or suggestions, and answering your questions.
